The writers of the scriptures spoke in terms of absolute truth. No grey areas and no relativism. In 2 Timothy 3:16 Paul warned the young preacher about those who deceive and are deceived. The greatest deceiver we need to watch for is ourselves. It is sometimes hardest to be honest with ourselves. Relativism is not new, but it is very popular today. The more things change, the more they stay the same. We face the same problems with self-reflection and assessment as they did back then. Be honest with yourself and God's strength will help you grow and mature in your life.
